What it costs
to look after our rescued cats

Every cat that comes into our care is thoroughly assessed and examined. We make sure that they are as healthy as possible before finding them new homes.

This all costs money. The diagram below gives an indication of the approximate veterinary costs of just some of the treatment and checks that may be needed.

Of course, the treatment needed for each cat is different, but the above figures give an idea of the costs involved.

Then there are the ongoing costs of keeping each cat - e.g. food, litter and other expenses - currently around £2 per cat per day.

We also have to cover the costs of equipment, such as cat pens and traps,
      publicity and advertising,
        printing, stationery and phone bills,
          transportation of cats,
             etc., etc..........

Cats Protection is entirely dependent on donations. Please give generously.
